Handcrafted Love, Empowering Communities & Protecting Wildlife
Each crochet animal is a symbol of care—from the hands of elderly artisans in South Africa to wildlife conservation efforts across Africa.
Welcome to Pip
At Pip, we believe that every stitch tells a story. Our beautifully crafted crochet animals are handmade by elderly women in South Africa, offering them a renewed sense of purpose and financial independence. And with each purchase, you’re not just buying a unique keepsake—you’re also supporting wildlife conservation and giving back to our planet and its people.
From supporting local communities to protecting endangered species, Pip connects hearts across generations and borders.

Our Story
Life’s journey is a full circle, starting from a seed and growing into a young fruit before eventually reaching the end and leaving only the pip and essence behind. At PIP, we honour this cycle by replanting the pip and providing support to the elderly during this phase of their lives.
PIP was founded in loving memory of our founder’s grandmother, who always dressed up for the day and wished for a reason to get out of bed. We strive to give elderly individuals a purpose and the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue activities they love.
All of our knitted and crocheted items are handmade by elderly ladies in the Riebeek West, Gordon’s Bay, Riebeek Kasteel, and Moorreesburg area. These ladies are paid for their work, providing them with much-needed financial support as many rely solely on government pensions or community goodwill.
